I just watched the Timothée Chalamet movie, Marty Supreme. It’s about a ping pong player with the insatiable desire to become the best in the world.
While I watched the movie, I felt the dark energy of obsession call: the huge engine in my belly that needs to be fed. For Marty, and for me, it demands greatness.
The movie shows the dark side of that greatness - no empathy, burning bridges, massive risks, etc. My gut reaction? I don't want it. But I feel it, and it’s not going away. So I must channel it in the correct way by building discernment, judgment and wisdom.

And then there's the charisma. The movie shows that making people feel is one of the most powerful and dangerous skills known to humankind. It can tear people apart or build incredible things. Master it, and you don't need anything else (maybe some good clothes) to get into any room you want.
It's a skill I'm actively developing. And honestly? I think it might become my best one. Of course I want to use it for good - this isn't a villain origin story.

Marty Supreme is a rock solid 7.7/10. Well shot. Killer acting.
The main thing it left me with is the taste of the dark, twisted beauty of obsession. She's a Pandora's box. Not everybody has it, but some people do. If you're one of them, you need to get to know it.
